Alta E&I partnered with a major commercial airline to perform a comprehensive Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) in advance of the installation of new dust collection equipment at an operational facility. The objective of the engagement was to identify, evaluate, and mitigate combustible dust hazards while ensuring full alignment with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

Alta E&I’s scope of work included a detailed assessment of facility operations, materials, and processes to evaluate the presence and characteristics of combustible dust. The team analyzed potential ignition sources, accumulation points, and explosion or fire risks, and developed recommendations for engineering controls, administrative controls, and operational best practices to reduce identified hazards.

The completed DHA was reviewed and approved by regulatory authorities, validating the technical rigor and effectiveness of the analysis. Through this collaborative effort, Alta E&I helped the client enhance workplace safety, support regulatory compliance, and maintain reliable operations.
